A picture book, people’s interactions with dolphins, October 24, 1998
    By A Customer
This review is from: Dolphins! (Step into Reading) (Paperback)
This is a great book for reading to 4-6 year olds. It talks about interesting stories about dolphins and people. An example: 2 pages cover how a man played with a dolphin in captivity by throwing a ring to the dolphin, and 2 years later, the dolphin recognized the same man and threw the ring to him. The book talks about how dolphins are intelligent and each have different personalities, how they like people, and things like that.

Do you like dolphins? If you like dolphins, this would be a good book. It has many facts, like dolphins can dive 500 feet under water without coming up for air. Dolphins can do a flip in the air. Is that cool or what? Did you know that some river dolphins are completely pink?

I like this book because there are great pictures of dolphins. First, second or third graders would enjoy reading this book.

Dolphins Need Help, May 25, 2010
    A Kid’s Review
This review is from: Dolphins! (Step into Reading) (Paperback)
I read a book called Dolphins. I like this book, and I love dolphins. We should help them because they could die.

Humans give them the wrong food, and the oil in the ocean is making them sick. Dolphins need your help to save them. Dolphins is an excellent book and you can learn new things. They are magnificent because you can ride on their fins. Dolphins eat fish. Dolphins make funny noises, and they like to play. Most people like dolphins. But some people don’t.

This review is from: Children Books:Terry Treetop Saves The Dolphin: (Animal habitats) Marine Life (Preschool) Early Learning (Values book) (Bedtime Stories Children’s Books for Early & Beginner Readers Book 4) (Kindle Edition)
Terry Treetop and his family are on summer vacation and are visiting a marine nature reserve. Knowing Terry (as we do) he climbs a tree so he can get a better view of the water. And, he is delighted when he sees a group of dolphins. One in particular caught Terry Treetop’s attention as it was a little baby dolphin! His Mom was teaching him some new “tricks”.

Terry names him Dido and wants to be his friend. It appears that Dido is curious about this two legged “creature”, too. Unfortunately, Dido gets caught in a net left by fishermen and is unable to escape. Poor Dido! Do you think Terry Treetop is resourceful enough to help Dido get out?

I really liked this story for many reasons. First of all, it will teach the little ones in your life to help those in need (and not just the dolphins). Second, it teaches people to keep the environment safe by being careful where you leave items. Terry Treetop is given a wonderful reward for caring enough about Dido to help him. Last, Terry does go above and beyond to ensure Dido’s safety and shows responsibility beyond his years. He was determined not to give up until he found a solution to the problem.

The author states that this book is written for ages 3 – 8 and K – 3. The drawings are well done and all are colorful (take a peek at the cover) and will hold the attention of your little ones. Plus, the Zoom effect will enhance them to a much larger size on the page. I would change part of one sentence from the “…dolphins flocked together” to “..frolicked together”. This is certainly a five star book as it touches on many subjects that the little ones should learn.

    Most highly recommended.

Loved this book!, November 6, 2014

This review is from: Children Books:Terry Treetop Saves The Dolphin: (Animal habitats) Marine Life (Preschool) Early Learning (Values book) (Bedtime Stories Children’s Books for Early & Beginner Readers Book 4) (Kindle Edition)
I recently had the opportunity to read Terry Treetop: Saves the dolphin written by Tali Carmi. This book was written for children ages 3-8 or Kindergarten to third grade. Most of you know that I absolutely love marine life, since I grew up on the ocean, so I choose to review this book so that I can read it to my niece and nephews as well as my daughter. This was the first time that I have read one of the Terry Treetop books, and I must say, I will be purchasing the others, as they are written very well. For a children’s fiction book, I would certainly give it five starts as it touches on many ideas and subjects that young ones should learn. I would definitely recommend it!

I really enjoyed this book, and the story line for many reasons, I believe that it will teach our little ones about the environment and keeping it safe, by being careful about what items we may leave at the beach or near another water source. Terry in this book, goes beyond and above to help save a little Dolphin who Terry named Dido. Terry is determined to find a solution to the problem, so I won’t spoil the fun!

What a cute little story. My son and I loved this story. It has very bright colors which made it easier for him to see the pictures. We will be reading this one again! I received a discount in exchange for honest unbiased review.
